How much does PLA filament cost in the UK?
Most PLA filament in the UK costs £13–£20 a kilo, and the typical price is about £17. A November 2026 check of 22 UK stores put the median PLA price at £17.10 per kg (Spoolhound filament price index). PrintHaus PLA is £10 a 1kg spool, made in the UK, and drops to £8.10 a spool on the Filament Club.

How to compare filament prices properly
- Compare per kilo. Some spools are 750g or 500g, which makes a low price look better than it is.
- Add delivery. A cheap spool with £4–£5 delivery can cost more than a dearer one that ships free.
- Check where it ships from. Stock shipped from overseas can take a week or more. Ours is made in the UK and ships next day if you order by 3pm.
- Count what you actually use. If you print every week, a subscription discount is worth more than a one-off deal.

Is cheap PLA any good?
