Custom colour PLA filament, made in the UK

Because we make our PLA ourselves, we can make your colour too. Every custom order is its own production run: we weigh your recipe to the half gram, tumble it with natural PLA pellets, dry it and extrude it into 1.75mm filament on 1kg spools.

How it works

  1. Mix your colour. Start from a shade above, then move the sliders. The recipe updates as you go, in grams per kilo.
  2. Check your preview and order. Name your colour, choose 25 spools or more, approve your digital preview and check out.
  3. We make it. Our team weighs the masterbatch, blends it with natural PLA and extrudes your batch in our factory in Cross Hands, Wales.
  4. It ships within 3 working days. Free UK delivery, as with every order of 5 spools or more.

Custom colour filament FAQs

Why is the minimum 25 spools?

Every custom colour is a dedicated production run. 25kg is one full sack of natural PLA pellets, which is the smallest batch we can mix, extrude and purge cleanly.

How accurate is the preview?

It's a close guide, not an exact match. Screens show colour differently, and masterbatch strength varies a little from bag to bag, so your finished spools may look slightly different from your screen. Your recipe, though, is weighed exactly as you set it.

What do the strength options do?

Strength is how much colour goes into each kilo. 3% (30g per kg) is our house standard. 2% gives a lighter shade, 4% a deeper one, and 1% gives a see-through tint with no white.

Why do some colours print slightly translucent?

White is what makes PLA fully opaque. Mixes without white let a little light through, which can look great on lamps and display pieces. Add a little white if you want a solid finish.

Can you match a Pantone, RAL or brand colour?

Email contact@printhaus3d.store with the colour code or a photo, and we'll help you find the closest recipe before you order.

Can I order the same colour again?

Yes. Use the "Copy a link to this colour" button to save your exact recipe, or reply to your order confirmation and we'll mix it again.

Can I cancel or return a custom colour?

Custom colours are made to order, so they can't be cancelled or returned once production starts. See our refund policy for full details.

Can I get custom colours in PETG?

Not yet. Custom colours are PLA only. PrintHaus PETG is coming soon.

How do I print it?

Exactly like our standard PLA: nozzle 190–230°C, bed 50–65°C. Our PLA print settings guide has starting settings for Bambu, Prusa and Creality printers, and it works with any printer that takes 1.75mm filament.
